Brush with greatness: I got to meet Richard Powers, and Cornelia Funke. And I helped organize the "most expensive grill party in history"--Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and G.W. Bush om in the eastern German village of Trinwillershagen.

Other info: Well, I've been in the foreign service for 19 years, will leave Hamburg this summer for a year of Russian training and then an assignment in Uzbekistan.
