Brush with greatness: I once rode in the same elevator as Al Gore. Though not actually at the same time as Al Gore. Plus, I spotted Mike Tyson in the Vegas airport. In a very economy-class terminal.

Words of wisdom: Each day we have with our friends and family is precious. It’s so hard to remember that when life’s daily b.s. gets in the way. But try.

Other info: When I turned 40 I went on an epic bike ride in the desert and thought I was all bad. Yes, I had proved to myself that I was not “old.” Several days later, I tripped while crossing the street, fell on my face (having failed to get my hands out of my pockets) and broke my nose. Please tell me it’s not all downhill from here.
